 I found her diary  a tree.
 and started reading  me/
 The words she's written  me by surpise,
 you'd never read them in her 
 They said that she had found  love she waited for.
 Wouldn't  know it, she wouldn't show it.
 
 When she confronted  the writing there,
  pretended not to care.
 I passed it off as just in  with
  total disconcerting air
 and though she tried  hide
 the love  she denied,
 wouldn't  know it, she wouldn't show it.
 
 And as I go through my life,  will give to her my wife,
 all the sweet things  I can find.
 
 I found  diary underneath a tree.
 and started reading  me.
 The words began stick and tears  flow.
 Her meaning now was clear to 
 The love she'd waited for  someone else not me.
 Wouldn't you  it, she wouldn't show it.
 
 and as I go through my life, I will wish  her his wife
 all the sweet things  she can find
